–   For inappropriate physical contact with the opponent player of Jaypee Punjab Warriors

New Delhi, 31 January 2015: The Disciplinary Committee of the Hero Hockey India League met today morning to discuss the conduct of Sardar Singh in yesterday’s match (30 January 2015) between Delhi Waveriders and Japyee Punjab Warriors. The incident involved Sardar Singh’s inappropriate physical contact with the opponent player which clearly breached the HHIL Code of Conduct. The incident was proved by the video footage as well as Sardar Singh accepting the breach on the field. HHIL Disciplinary Committee has suspended Sardar Singh from one match. He will not play the match against Dabang Mumbai scheduled to be played on 1 February 2015 (tomorrow) in Delhi.
