Chandigarh, 20th Jan 2014: In order to promote hockey amongst students, Jaypee Punjab Warriors today announced free passes for all home matches scheduled to be played at the new Hockey Stadium in Mohali from January 25th. Entry for armed forces personnel will also be free. The passes can be collected from the Gate no.2, of the Mohali Hockey Stadium after showing valid identity card.
Other hockey fans will have to pay a nominal amount of Rs 50 for the general stand and Rs 500 for the VIP stand (which will include free tea/coffee and sandwich). These tickets can be bought from the following locations :
Mr Askari Zaidi, CEO, Jaypee Punjab Warriors: “It’s our endeavour to promote hockey in the country and Hero Hockey India league is an exciting platform to do that. We would like more and more people to come to the stadium to watch all our matches being played at Mohali.”
A spectacular opening ceremony, featuring a Bollywood performance and laser show will begin at 6.45 pm while match against Delhi Waveriders will be played at 8 pm on 25th January. There will be another match the next day on January 26th.
