12th February 2016, Ranchi: As defending Champions Ranchi Rays get ready for the 4th Coal India Hockey India League play-offs from the 20th February 2016, hockey lovers can now pre-book their tickets for the playoffs and finals and extend their support for their respective home team. Hockey India the apex body for Hockey in India earlier last week had announced the opening of online and onground ticket sales for the play offs and finals of the 4th Coal India Hockey India League.
The playoffs and the finals will be hosted at the Astro Turf Hockey Stadium, Ranchi on the 20th and 21st February 2016 and are expected to draw fans in large numbers from across the country. The games so far in Ranchi have seen a packed stadium and the spectator count is expected to only increase for the knockout stages. The top 4 teams from the group stage are slated to play the Semi – Finals on 20th February 2016 and 3rd/4th playoff and Finals will take place on 21st February 2016.
The tickets for the semi – finals and finals priced from INR 200 and INR 300 respectively are available online at www.ticketgenie.in and in outlets across Ranchi at Spyker Showroom – Bahu Bazar Chowk; Spyker Showroom – Siramtoli Chowk, (Near KFC); Hotel Pearl Residency – Near Kadru Diverson, White Lily – Opposite Road No.1 Gate, Ashok Nagar; Hotel Green Acers, Airport road, Hinoo; Hotel green Horizon, Station road and Box Office Located between Gate 2 & 3 at the Stadium. Hockey lovers can watch all the matches on a day with one ticket.
The 4th Edition of the Coal India Hockey India League is at a crucial stage with all the six participating teams still having an opportunity to qualify for the semi- finals. While defending Champions Ranchi Rays are close to sealing their play-off berth at the top of the table with 27 points they will need to secure a win from one of their last two group stage matches to confirm their semi final spot. Outstanding performances from Glenn Turner, Matthew Swann, Florian Fuchs, P.R Sreejesh, Sardar Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh have raised the expectations from the group stage match.
